Reredos 1902; Altar 1908

The reredos, with paintings by Edward Prynne, was made in 1902 by H. H. Martyn of Cheltenham at a cost of £450.

The altar was made by the same firm in 1908.

Observation also suggests that the wrought iron screen and gates, choir stalls and organ gallery woodwork may be to George Fellowes Prynne’s designs, but I have yet to confirm these.

The undated postcard of the interior, with a closer view, shows the chancel and sanctuary. The black and white picture of the reredos is from the church guide book.  The photos below show the altar without the original painted panels, and the wrought iron screen, not yet confirmed as by Fellowes Prynne but believed by me to be to his design.
