Ascension Window 1901

This window, in the south chancel aisle, is an excellent example of Fellowes Prynne’s design in collaboration with the stained glass specialist firm of Percy Bacon Brothers. The throng of holy people, the presence of angels, the lavish use of colour, and the setting of each light in its own architectural niche are devices seen across his work.

The photographs show the Ascension window.
